Healthy Shopping Tips

Make a list. Before heading for the store have a plan in mind.

Know your store.

Shop the edges. Whole foods are typically on the outside edges of a store.

Select fruits that are ready to wash or peel and eat. They are loaded with vitamins and minerals, excellent source of fiber and therefore are a healthy fast food. And THINK COLOR!

Don't forget the dairy case. Look for low-fat choices, which contain less saturated fat, such as 2 percent cottage cheese or low-fat milk or soy milk.

Make your trip to the grocery store an adventure in good taste!
